Ilocos Adventure!

Hola! :) I am extremely happy to tell you that I have crossed off another travel destination from my list! I have already walked along the streets of Calle Crisologo, witnessed the beautiful ruins of ancient churches, had a rollercoaster ride on the sand dunes of Paoay, got blown away by the enormous windmills of Bangui, ate bagnet (prolly in all the restaurants we ate at. lol) and experienced all other wonderful things that Ilocos could offer!  It was a 10-hour drive from Manila and there wasn't much traffic since we traveled during the night. If you're not on a tight budget, I suggest you travel by plane to save time :)  Day 1 This was taken during our plane ride from  Davao to Manila. This means a lot because this was our first plane ride together. Lol forgive me for being cheesy :)) After getting our butts sore from sitting for too long, we have finally reached Vigan! This was where we took our breakfast --- The Hidden Garden. They showcase a wide v

"An open letter from Mr. Right"

I came across this post in my Facebook feed which I thought deserved a spot here in my blog... The title "An open letter from Mr. Right" didn't really catch my attention for I thought this was another cliché post about finding some Mr. Right who never actually existed (well, in my opinion). Yet, the heading "Dear daughters of God" suddenly gave me the intent to read it and the feeling that this was more than just an article about reckoning the attributes of "Mr. Right." And yes, I wasn't mistaken. This post might be too good to be true but it opened my mind and heart to the idea that a man like this still exists. I strongly believe that a man who doesn't run low in his faith in God is the best man to consider when it comes to dating, or marriage for that matter. It doesn't really mean that he won't make mistakes along the way but he will NEVER forget that the least thing he wants to do is to hurt you in any way because you are and you w

New Year's Resolution seems cliche and no matter how much we want to accomplish everything in our list, we end up doing only a few things and even do it only for the next few days after New Year. So here are a few things I'd like to call as "2015 To do list."    1. Let go of all the clutter in your life. The past year has been tough, life has thrown rocks at you that you thought you would never be able to get up. You've been hurt terribly, been cheated on, lost confidence, self-esteem, and trust. True enough, it isn't easy to just simply forget everything all at once yet, the more that you let yourself be consumed by hatred, the more that you'll be filled with negativity in everything you do, So it's best that you try to let go of all these clutter one step at a time to create more space for positivity in your life.  I would li ke to quote a Zen proverb..."Let go or be dragged." 2. Don't let your plans be just plans. Don&

Okay I really do not know what to write in my first 2014 blog post after 124864878 years. I TERRIBLY missed writing my thoughts down in this place I like to call My Sweet Escape. I'll probably just talk about the highlights of the first six months of my year two oh fourteen :) I'm gonna start off with the biggest day any student awaits: COLLEGE GRADUATION . Yep, you got that right! I'm proud to say that after 16 years of going to school, making loads of homework, pulling an all-nighter during examination weeks, I FINALLY HAD THE CHANCE TO WEAR THAT LITTLE BLACK DRESS OR AS THEY CALL IT, TOGA . It felt like I was part of Gryffindor   or something. teehee Anyhoo, it wasn't just about the little black dress really. Haha. It was the day I've been waiting for, the day that marked one's freedom from school! It felt damn good to be able to think to yourself "Wow, I surpassed college, I could surpass anything" Kidding, not really anything. lol. None
